Welcome to The Art of Overthinking!

I’m so glad you have found this little website!

The Art of Overthinking is a peaceful space, designed to provide daily inspiration in the form of Quotes, Poetry, and Informative Articles.

About this Space:

This space is for everyone, regardless of where you come from or who you are. All I can hope is that you find a little bit of happiness, or whatever it is you’re looking for, while you browse through. I firmly believe that this space is as much for you, as it is for me.

“A blog is only as interesting as the interest shown in others.”

Lee Odden

About the Editor:

My name is Shayde, and I started this blog as a way to get things off of my chest that needn’t have been there (check out the ‘Hopeless Musings’ and ‘Poems’ posts), and to find something small in every day to give me inspiration (check out the ‘Quote Of The Day’).

As time progressed, I also started writing short articles on topics I am passionate about, including Mental Health Awareness and the Environment (check out the ‘Something Worth Talking About’, ‘Wellness’ and ‘Book Review’ posts).

I know the above photo makes me look slightly grumpy, but I promise I am always open to new ideas and am always happy to have a chat on here, or via Social Media and would love to hear from more of you!

Having a small online presence has been a wonderful way to get to know people from all walks of life, all around the world. For that, I am truly thankful and also slightly surprised at the interest this blog has received!

Although I have no immediate plans to quit my job, I would love to one day become a writer on a bigger platform, or publish a book (I’m working on it!!).

In the meantime, I spend my days working full time as a Customer Communications Manager, and have two beautiful Miniature Dachshunds to come home to (as well as my ever-patient partner).

Arlo & Albus

My life revolves around my family and my god, they keep me busy! On top of my partner and the doggies, I also live with my brother Billy (21) and look after my sister Amber (17).

Besides those two, I also have two other sisters named Tanika (23) and Nikyta (13) as well as a very new baby brother named Jesse! I am so incredibly proud of my siblings, and being the oldest has made me very aware of the challenges some of us must face in life, and the sacrifices we make for those we love.

But enough from me – please enjoy my blog, and feel free to contact me at anytime!

And Lastly:

Thank you for visiting The Art of Overthinking!
